Maura Carey is a fully accredited and highly experienced psychotherapist. She is the Clinical Director and owner of Cherry Blossom Therapy in Killucan, Co. Westmeath, and is accredited with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Maura provides mental health treatment to children and adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. She also runs workshops and provides services to various organisations and businesses.
Maura takes an Integrative approach to her work with clients and offers treatment for a wide variety of presenting issues, with an emphasis on the importance of building and maintaining strong, trauma informed therapeutic relationships.
With a broad educational background, Maura’s areas of expertise include child and adolescent psychotherapy, systemic family and couples therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and mindfulness. She is also an experienced clinical supervisor. Maura lectures in a reputable college on a broad range of topics and is currently the programme leader for third-year degree students.
