Tom Ellison has over three decades of experience in children's residential care, education, and clinical support. A Director of over 20 years, he has substantial experience in leading organisations engaged in providing specialist support to young people with significant mental health challenges. Tom has, on more than one occasion, entered failing organisations and led them to improved levels of quality, performance, and outcomes.
Following eight and a half years of leading a national provider of residential services for children leaving in-patient care, Tom founded Ellison Lynd Consulting to support Local Authorities and independent providers of children’s services to strategically plan services for children with complex needs.
Tom now serves as a Non-Executive Director for three separate organisations in this field and continues to offer consultancy and advisory services to organisations engaged in supporting Looked After Children.
